PORTLAND, Ore. – Junior college national champion and first team All-American Cameron Williams (Cape Girardeau, Mo./Trinity Valley JC) has signed with University of Portland men's basketball, head coach Shantay Legans announced Wednesday. Williams will join his JUCO teammate Garrett Nuckolls on The Bluff. The duo led Trinity to a 34-3 record and National Junior College Athletic Association Division I title this past season.
Williams (6-8, 220) started 31 games for Trinity Valley and matched Nuckolls as the team's co-scoring leader at 10.2 points per contest. Williams also contributed 5.0 rebounds per game and shot 48 percent from the field, 32 percent from three-point range and 74 percent at the foul line in his lone season with the Cardinals.
Williams was instrumental throughout Trinity Valley's run to the title, most notably going for 14 points on 7-of-9 shooting with seven rebounds in a 61-60 win against No. 2 Cowley County in the quarterfinals.
Williams began his collegiate career at Moberly Area CC where he started 29 games and averaged 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He also shot an efficient 57 percent from the field and helped Moberly qualify for the JUCO National Championships in Hutchinson, Kan. He scored 15 points with eight rebound in an opening round loss to Connors State at nationals.
The Cape Girardeau, Mo. Native played four seasons of prep basketball at Cape Central High School and helped the team to 89 wins and an MSHSAA Class 5 District 1 championship.
Williams is the seventh addition to the Portland roster this spring announced by Coach Legans. In addition to Nuckolls, he joins Division I transfers

Riley Parker, as well as freshmen
Joel Foxwell,
Timo George and Dante Censori-Hercules as the newest members of the Pilots.
Those newcomers will join returning lettermen Mikah Ballew, Kelson Gebbers and Jermaine Ballisager Webb and returning redshirts Carlin Briggs, NaVaughn Long and Preston Lee for the 2025-26 season.
