BOISE, Idaho – The Portland men's tennis team will compete at the Dar Walters Classic this weekend hosted by Boise State University with matches being played at the Appleton Tennis Center, Julia Davis Park and Fort Boise. Matches begin on Friday and will continue through Sunday. There will be no live scoring, but
live video will be available at matches played at Appleton Tennis Center.
The tournament will be played in a mini dual format with two players from a school paired together to compete in doubles match and two singles matches against another two-person team. The team that wins two of the three points advances in the bracket. There will be two separate draws featuring 16 pairings each.
Joining the Pilots and host Boise State in the tournament field will be BYU, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Utah State and Weber State.
Portland brings all six returners from last season along with freshmen Gian Manhas and Eli Noel. Below are initial matchups for each of the four Pilot tandems.
