PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Pilots Volleyball won over the San Francisco Dons in a sweep (25-22, 25-20, 27-25). The Pilots' record is now 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the WCC.
Kala Chock had a match high across both teams with 12 kills, Havannah Hoeft had a match high across both teams with 37 assists and Lila Krall reached a new career high with 11 kills.
GAME NOTES
HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 | The Pilots recorded 16 team kills, with Chock's five kills leading the way. Hoeft had 13 assists and set up both Kaauwai and Krall with four kills and a hitting percentage of .667. Hildenbrand had five of Portland's 12 digs and the Pilots won the set 25-22.
SET 2 | Portland started the set off strong with a four-point run. Chock and Callie Pieper spiked down four kills each and Hoeft recorded a set high of two service aces. Hildenbrand tallied another five digs in this set and Bray had one solo block. Portland took the set 25-20.
SET 3 | Portland had a six-point run early in the set, taking the Pilots from a two-point lead to an eight-point lead. The Dons managed to close the gap and take the lead, but the Pilots came back to win the set 27-25. Krall and Hoeft had four kills each and Lilo recorded two service aces. Hoeft and Hildenbrand both tallied four digs and Hoeft and Chock had a block each
