SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Portland Pilot Havannah Hoeft was named the WCC Setter of the Week for the first time this season after a shutout week at the Eastern Washington Volleyball Tournament.
Hoeft recorded 121 assists, 37 digs, nine kills and four service aces last week. She set a match high across both teams in assists for all three matches: 37 assists against CSU Bakersfield, 49 assists against Nevada and 35 assists against Eastern Washington. Hoeft also set two match highs across both teams in digs, with 16 digs against Nevada and 14 digs against Eastern Washington.
Hoeft recorded a new career high with 16 digs vs. Nevada. She surpassed 500 career digs and 50 career service aces at that same match. Hoeft is the current team leader at Portland in assists (349) and digs (107). She currently ranks fourth in the WCC for assists per set at 9.69 assists and fifth in total assists with 349 assists.
The Pilots are 7-2 this season with a four-game winning streak. Portland begins conference play on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. where they will take on the Seattle U Redhawks at Redhawk Center in Seattle, Wash.
