PORTLAND, Ore--- The University of Portland women’s tennis team traveled north to Spokane, Wash. last weekend to try their hand at the Gonzaga Invite.
 
The Pilots enjoyed considerable success throughout the weekend’s round-robin tournament, and in particular from two freshmen, Tori Troesch and Saroop Dhatt. Troesch would finish the tournament undefeated in singles play and Dhatt would give up only one match on the weekend.
 
Troesch and Dhatt proved to have the Midas touch in Spokane and continued their winning ways in the doubles competition. Redshirt freshman Milagros Cubelli and Troesch picked up wins in each of their Group B matches, while sophomore Anastasia Polyakova and Dhatt would fight to an undefeated record in Group A.
 
The Pilots get back to action Oct. 19 in Stanford, Calif. for the ITA Regionals.
