• Portland wraps up the home portion of the regular season by hosting a trio of opponents, beginning with Weber State (Thursday - 1 pm), continuing with No. 35 Pepperdine (Friday - noon), and concluding with Loyola Marymount (Saturday - noon)
• With just four matches scheduled on the current homestand, this still marks the longest homestand of the season for the Pilots, who have five regular season matches remaining.
• The Pilots dropped last weekend’s home match to BYU, 5-2. Junior Valeksa Hoath and sophomore Gabrielle Gorence recorded wins in singles play for the Pilots, while Hoath teamed with freshman Anastasia Polyakova to win one of the doubles matches.
About the Pilots...
• Freshman Anastasia Polyakova leads the Pilots with a 9-6 record, followed by juniors Sabine Fuchs (8-8) and Valeska Hoath (8-8).
• Polyakova won six matches and Hoath five matches during the same seven match streak earlier this year (March 2 - March 23).
• Hoath and sophomore Alice Tucker racked up six straight doubles matches earlier this year.
About Weber State
• Weber State has struggled this season, compiling a 1-19 overall record.
• The Wildcats picked up their first win of the season last weekend, edging Eastern Washington, 4-3.
• Brittiny Moore, Nittaya Phonharath, and Thais Kurer are all tied for the team’s lead in singles wins with five. The Wildcats are 21-99 (.175) in singles play as a team.
• WSU owns a 7-53 (.117) record in doubles play.
About Pepperdine
• Pepperdine owns a 6-6 record against ranked opponents this year, en route to an 11-6 overall record and a No. 35 ITA Ranking.
• Four Waves have compiled 10+ singles wins, with two individual rankings.
• Khunpak Issara has a record of 11-6 and is ranked No. 69 in the latest ITA singles rankings. Issara and Lorraine Guillermo own a 13-3 doubles record, with a No. 29 tandem ranking.
