• The ninth-seeded Portland Pilots (5-16, 0-8 WCC) head to San Diego for the 2012 West Coast Conference Tennis Championships presented by the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education.
• With a win against the No. 4-seeded LMU Lions (8-15, 5-3 WCC), Portland would advance to play No. 3 San Diego on Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
• Portland lost a 5-2 decision to LMU two weeks ago, with junior Valeska Hoath (6-1, 6-0) and sophomore Alice Tucker (7-6, 5-7, 10-3) picking up victories.
• The Pilots enter the tournament having lost four straight, losing both matches on the road over the weekend in San Francisco and Santa Clara.
• Freshman Anastasia Polyakova and Hoath teamed up for a pair of doubles victories over the weekend.
• Hoath earned a spot on the WCC All-Academic Team this year, her second appearance on the team.
• Junior Sabine Fuchs received Honorable Mention when the All-Academic Teams were released, the first time she has received the honor.

• Junior Valeska Hoath leads the Pilots with an 11-10 record, followed closely by freshman Anastasia Polyakova (10-10) and junior Sabine Fuchs (10-11).
• Polyakova won six matches and Hoath five matches during the same seven match streak earlier this year (March 2 - March 23).
• Hoath has won five of her seven matches this month.
• Hoath and sophomore Alice Tucker racked up six straight doubles matches earlier this year.
