Mladenovic Advances to Semifinals at SMC Invite

MORAGA, Calif. --- Sophomore Maja Mladenovic posted a pair of victories in singles play on Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the Red Flight at the 2013 Saint Mary's Invitational at the Moraga Country Club. Mladenovic will face Stanford's Caroline Doyle at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday with a chance to advance to the finals.

In her Round of 16 matchup, Mladenovic knocked of Elia Douglas Miron of Washington 7-6, 6-2. She then defeated Jade Frampton of Saint Mary's in three sets, 7-6, 3-6, 7-5.

Sophomore Tori Troesch lost to top-seeded Katie Le of Santa Clara in straight sets of the Red Flight in the Round of 16.

In the White Doubles Consolation, sophomores Emily Gould and Saroop Dhatt teamed up for an 8-1 win over LMU's Elanor Grossman and Reka Rohonyi.
