MALIBU, Calif. – The No. 13-ranked Pepperdine Waves remained unbeaten in conference play with a 5-0 win over Portland Friday afternoon at the Ralphs-Straus Tennis Center. The Waves improve to 18-4 overall and 8-0 in West Coast Conference play, while the Pilots drop to 8-11 and 3-5 in league.

The Waves cruised to the doubles point with wins at the top two positions and then took care of business in singles.

Pepperdine scored straight set wins at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions, and also won at No. 1 singles when Pilot freshman Jelena Lukic retired in the second set.

Portland will look to secure a top-6 WCC finish and berth in the WCC Championships with their final regular season match on Saturday at LMU. A win will clinch a spot in the conference tournament, while the Pilots would need some help with a loss.
