PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Pilots Men's Basketball Head Coach Shantay Legans has announced the addition of Nikola Milosevic to the 2021 recruiting class. Milosevic (6-5, 190) joins the Pilots as a freshman with four years of eligibility.
"Nikola brings a level of toughness on both ends of the floor that we expect will translate to our program immediately," Legans said. "He is a well-rounded combo guard that can score inside and out, while also adding the ability to generate offense with his playmaking skill. Nikola has played against tough competition from an early age and will be ready Division I basketball."
"I am extremely excited for the opportunity to join Coach Legans and his staff as a Portland Pilot," Milosevic said. "Division I basketball has always been a dream of mine and I am looking forward to the challenge of taking this program to the next level!"
The Montenegro national has played for several club teams in Europe. Most recently, Milosevic spent the 2020-21 season playing for Podgorica Bemax, a basketball club based in Podgorica, Montenegro competing in the Junior ABA League. Before that, Milosevic played for KK Mega Bemax, another club in the Junior ABA League. He also has experience playing for Montenegro's junior national team.
Milosevic is one of several new players that first-year coach Legans is bringing to The Bluff. Legans has secured three transfers from Eastern Washington – Â
