SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland senior Tess Pritchett and junior Katie Bayford were named to the West Coast Conference Rowing All-Academic Team, the league office announced on Friday. Additionally, the Pilots had nine rowers garner honorable mention academic honors.

Pritchett has posted a 3.68 cumulative grade-point average as a nursing major, while Bayfor has a 3.64 cumulative GPA, also in nursing.

Katelyn Barney, Alondra Bernal, Emmalee Dolcini, Brooklin Gomez, Sage Iona, Maddie Olson, Emma Papenhausen, Desi Petrova and Lexi Turner picked up honorable mention recognition for Portland.
 
No fewer than 80 student-athletes qualified for academic honors across the seven WCC programs.  More than 50 posted a GPA of at least 3.50, while 33 posted marks of 3.75 or better.
 
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
